Need higher power without buying the generator first?

AMT has industrial microwave generators available for development and pilot-scale projects from 1–100 kW at 2.45 GHz, 915 MHz and 922 MHz.

Is microwave right for your process?

Microwave can offer a real advantage where rapid, volumetric or selective heating solves a process problem, improves throughput or enables behaviour that is difficult with conventional heating.

Worth Investigating When:

  • Heat transfer is limiting the process

  • Selective heating could be useful

  • Rapid response matters

  • Conventional heating struggles with the material or geometry

  • A reaction or transformation may benefit from microwave heating

May Be Less Suitable When:

  • The material couples poorly

  • Conventional heating already works efficiently

  • Geometry makes field control difficult

  • The likely benefit may not justify the cost of scale-up

AMT grew out of an industrial microwave research team established at the University of Wollongong in 1987. Today, our Wollongong-based team combines microwave process development with electrical and control engineering, materials expertise and practical fabrication to take industrial microwave ideas from testing through to real systems.
