Industrial Microwave Heating research was established at Wollongong(Australia) in early 1987, with the collaboration of the university, industry and government for the purpose of investigating and developing industrial applications of microwave energy.

The microwave work is now combined with an engineering group with expertise in materials handling, automation and manufacturing and is called Advanced Manufacturing Technologies(AMT).

AMT is a team of microwave and automation professionals who specialise in assisting companies take a process from the laboratory, through to an industrial commercial reality.

AMT has completed several major automation and microwave projects both within Australia and overseas. In addition, numerous applied research and development projects associated with manufacturing automation, industrial microwave heating have been performed. AMT is skilled at design, development and integration of innovative systems applying the appropriate level of technology and automation to each project.
