Microwave Drying at its best...

Microwave cavity heaters are charcterised by spatial non-uniform field distribution, which can often result in an unevenly process material. The Rotary microwave processor is an effective way of overcoming this problem while exploiting all the advantages of microwave energy drying. By tumbling product through regions of intense and weak fields in three dimension, an evenly processed granular product can be achieved.

Not only is even field exposure achieved, but the potential surface area exposed to the air flow for moisture removal is maximised by the tumbling action, thereby improving the process effectiveness and the quality of the end product.

System Performance

The rotary dryer comes in a varity of versions capable of moisture removal rates up to 80kg/hr. With dryer lengths ranging between 2.5m to 7.0m long and your choice in frequency between 2.45GHz and 915MHz.

Microwave and rf Drying
Microwave drying really comes into its own when applied at the "falling rate" stage of conventional drying.
This is the point where the product core is still relatively wet and the surface is dry resulting
in poor conventional
heat transfer to the wet area.

Microwaves will penetrate the material and be preferentially absorbed by the
moisture, creating
internal regions of high
pressure and forcing
moisture to the surface.
