AMT has been involved in the development of many microwave processes for industry, some of these are listed below;

Viscosity Control. systems for controlling paint and glaze viscosity in line.

Selective Destruction. Development of a microwave process for the selective destruction of organic materials in mineral ore bodies.

Wool Bale Warmer. Design, construction and installation of fully automated microwave wool bale warming processing lines.(Italy, Czech Republic),[more]

Plasma Jet Welder. In conjunction with the CRC for Welding Research, developed a microwave induced plasma jet for cutting and welding.

Rubber Vulcanisation. Designed and built a dual system for preheating and holding rubber extussions at 200 C.

Sanitary Ware System. Design and construction of a 105kW automatic microwave system for the production of sanitary ware products.

Fat Melters. Microwave systems for fat melting in the confectionery industry.[more]

Tin Smelter. Developed a Tin smelter with microwave pre-curser ore treatment.

WORMAC Furnace. Microwave furnaces to temperatures of 1800+ C used in ceramic sintering. 1 to 6kW.[more]

De-Polymerisation. Assisted in the development and supply of a 75kW chemical processing system for de-polymerisation of PMMA(South Africa).

Door Warmer. Built and installed a microwave system for pre-warming kitchen doors for polymer coatings.

Rotary Dryer. For drying most types of granular products.[more]

Thawing Machine. Food snacks from -20 C to +65 C for immediate consumption.

Flammable Materials Processor. Design, construct and commission a system for processing flammable liquids.

Rapid Growth
The fastest growing area for industrial microwave and rf applications during the 90's was in plasma processing.

This growth has now abated and could be taken over by chemical applications during the 00's if commercial scale-up can be achieved.
